1998 LeSabre driver tail light keeps burning out.

Does anyone know why this keeps happening. I change the bulb...it lasts for about a week and burns out. No water in lense or anything like that.

A bulb will burn out from age, power cycles such as brake lights fail sooner than parking lights.
Overvoltage is obvious and water temp shock from water inside the lenses, and then there's shock and vibration.

If the bulb is flashing from a bad connection or socket, that may cause it to burn out.

If the bulb gets a white swirly coating inside it after it's burned out it proubbly broke the seal or glass and oxidized the element. This is usually from water. If the bulb is just failing with a clear glass then I would suspect either vibration on a loose connection causing very fast power cycles.
