You will need Tamiya clear colors, Smoke and Clear Blue.
I don't remember numbers now. And of corse you must to paint it with airbrush.
I think that on Tamiya site are Tips how to do that.

IIRC Hrmodeler has it on his own site under the navbar Tips. with a little search on it you wil find the Tamiya tips for cars and motorcycles. The motorcycles section has the tips on the burning effect.

If I have half a bottle of clear blue and half a bottle of smoke, and I mix them together, an handbrush it ( trust me, I can nearly handbrush a body and get nice results) will that work? I tried to mix silver and gun metal together, it didnt mix, but I think the clear paints are different...

Hmm....looks like thats my picture of my NSR500 Nastro Azzurro...

i created this burnt effect using mixture of Tamiya Smoke and clear blue with Clear orange. No airbrush involved.
