95 Lumina problems
I bought a 95 Lumina that had been sitting for a couple of years. It ran fine for about 3 weeks then it started just shutting off when driving. We have replaced the fuel filter, coil packs, map sensor, and fuel pump. Have had it on a computer twice now with no codes showing.
Put it in the shop for 2 weeks was told that it was corrosion on wires and the fuel pump fuse. Got it back now doing the same thing. I am at my wits end with this thing. Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance. |

Re: 95 Lumina problems
Welcome to AF. Missing info here, what do you have to do to restart it, shuts off at speed, slowing down, idle?

Re: 95 Lumina problems
The car idles just fine no missing no nothing. Put it in gear runs just fine. Will just be driving and will shut off, put it in neutral and starts right back up. It acts like it is not getting enough fuel, it will miss and sputter sometimes it won't stall but most of the time it does.

Re: 95 Lumina problems
Many things can cause this, bad crank sensor, beginning of a failing icm. Intermttent issues like this almost have to fail for an accurate diagnosis.

Re: 95 Lumina problems
Just wanted to update on this car. Thanks for all of your suggestions and help. I think it must have been a clogged fuel injector because it backfired one good time and has been running fine ever since. Thanks again.
