2001 blazer auto 4x4 shifts on its own
hi i,m new here. the problem is while i'm driving 2hi, on occasion the 4lo button starts flashing. a few times it has actually gone into 4lo as i was putting the vehicle from drive to park. my buddy knows a bit about cars, is there anything he can do to eliminate problem or is going to be a costly pro fix. thanks for any help available.

Welcome to AF on your first post.
It is all computer controlled. You need to get it on a engine/transmission /transfer case scanner and see what is going on. A good scanner will show codes and run a lot of test to see what the problem is. With out a scanner about the only thing you can check is the wiring and wiring plug in and fuses. If you get any transfer case or transmission or engine codes post them back.
