I have the same vehicle, and had exactly the same problem on #6. Tough to get that one out for some reason.
The Isuzu manual I have calls it a "spark plug wire" or "spark plug boot." I got a replacement from Advance Auto for about $10 (called Xact Ignition Boot Set, PN 20131). Be careful to get the one for #6 only. It is different length from the boots on cylinders 1-5.

Way cool! I do love my XR400. I bought it new in 1996 and have riden it nearly every weekend since!

I've never riden one, but I doubt if I'm man enough to handle an XR650. A 400's almost too heavy for me.

Good luck with your Passport.

Pick up some silicone spark plug boot stuff while you are at it. Will help keep them from sticking again.

Re: boot that connects coil to spark plug...

i went and got the boot and got in installed. The dealer said it was not available separate. This forum is a life and money saver for sure!!!! The 650r is a huge powerful bike. I am 6'4" and 260 and it is still a handful but i love it. I also just got 2 days ago a new shadow 1100 spirit street bike so i have been riding it the last 2 days..again many thanks!
