Gauge Cluster and Check Engine Light?
Hey People....
I have a 2000 Altima GLE / ATX. 60K miles. The gauge cluster briefly stopped working today while I was driving....for about 5 minutes....then it started working again. A few minutes later, the check engine light came on. I just got back from a 400 mile trip, and nothing unusual happened at all....so this kinda makes me a bit concerned. Other than pulling the codes at Autozone (tomorrow), has anyone had or heard of this problem? Thanks for any advice or info!! |

Re: Gauge Cluster and Check Engine Light?
I went to Autozone today, and the code read that there was basically an intermittent electrical error to the VSS (vehicle speed sensor). I unplugged the harness from the VSS (on the tranny), cleaned off the terminals and reconnected the harness, disconnected the battery for a few minutes (to reset the ECU), and it is now all good.
