flashing high beam indicator (98)

I have 98 Achieva that had burnt out both of the headlamps. I replaced them and now whenever you start up the car, the headlights flash on and off (as well as the high beam indicator) and continue to do so until I turn on the headlites manually. Any suggestions?

Re: flashing high beam indicator (98)

our 98 almost always had blinking indicator in the dash with the car running, except for a couple or few days

coudl not figure out why and when the IPC gets back to here form southern after its repair i will see if it still does that or not

i thought ours was the only one doing that

interesting

god luck

Re: flashing high beam indicator (98)

I think I found my problem. I recently installed new bulbs in both headlites. Just realized the high beam did not work on the left. Checked it out and when I initially installed that bulb I compressed the part between the bulb and the mounting part. Replaced the bulb and it works just fine now.
