Cat/Exhaust Question
1991 190E Petro My Catalytic Converter has been ratteling around I hear it while I am driving. I got under the car and saw the CC was rusted and moving so I figured I would replace it. I disconnected th CC from the rear exhausts, but could not free it from the forward pipe. It had a hose clamp around it, and I guess thats what misled me. I saw the hose clamps and figured, "this is easy", a hose clamp in front of the converter and two bolts to the rear sections to drop, no problem. Well I removed bolts and clamp but the rusty CC is still there. Any secret to removing it and insatlling another? Am I right in my identification of the CC being the most forward? The whole down pipe is in golod shape. It does not need replacing, just the CC. Any advice? Thanks Mark
