truck has no spark

I was driving my truck down the road and it backfired and then died. After it died I wasnt able to start it. I have no spark at my coil. I cant find a blown fuse, I dont really know what else to check. I have heard things about fuseable links, would that be a problem, I dont even know what those are.

Welcome to AF. As a newbie I understand your anxiety with the problem, but get used to posting the year and engine.

Ok can we assume it is a 2.8, or 4cyl. you are getting there slowly but surely.
