Red XXXXXXX Killer

Hello,

My latest project The Red XXXXXXX Killer from Revell in 1/9.

The only thing that I have done on this one is replaced the spokes for copperwire.

The colour is Red mettalic from Createx Autoair, not really red in my opinion.

I have also used four colors of AcladII metal paints in this model and for me the first time that I use so much Aclad on one model.

There are some things that I do better on a other model but for now I`m happy with the result.

Re: Red XXXXXXX Killer

That is cool. This is the first time I have seen this built. Is this based on a real bike? How was the build? Thanks.

What an amazing bike, and what a fantastic job you did on it too. Can you give some info on this bike?

No way! I saw this kit at a model store in B.C. It's German, right?

Re: Red XXXXXXX Killer

Thnx guys.

Here are a few aswers;

The bike is Geman its made from a comic strip and there are also some movies of it in Germany I have never seen one of both :-s

The bike have four Hortex engines of 400cc (not sure if they are 400cc)

And yes there is a real version of the Porsche Killer, thats the real name of it but I think that Revell may not used the name Porsche for this kit.

The build of this is on some places tricky, the fit of the exhausts are bad I have place back mine allroud six times and the attachment points for the rubber hoses are to big, I have replaced most of them with copperwire of the right size.

Here is picture of the real thing,

Re: Red XXXXXXX Killer

So, it's finished. There aren't any fitting troubles visible so you must have done a good job with that. Amazing build of one of the most excentric bikes I've ever seen. Any idea on how hard the kit is to come by?
Thanks for showing!

Re: Red XXXXXXX Killer

Awesome!!!!! I have one of these in my get motivated to build pile, but I am always put off by the lack of chrome on the wheels and exhaust. Looking at yours done in alclad gives me some ideas though! Hmmmmmmmmm........

What is this? Never seen a bike like that. Looks cool.
Did you have any difficulties during the build?

Joel, I have mine from Ebay Germany there are a few on auction.

Ketje, A have encounterd a few problems with the fit of the exhausts and putting the wirring on his attachment points (they are to big)

For the rest, the kit doint have any chrome parts in it not so nice from Revell :-s
