Engine Noise... yay
Ok, got brand new oil in the car. I think its... 10-30 High Mileage. I put in 3 1/2 quartz, just like the mechanic did when I got my oil change (a month ago...) Now, out of no where, it rattles... it's kind of a tapping rattle, sounds like something is loose. It's coming from the engine compartment, so deff a engine problem. I'm hoping it's just loose belts, because I do not want to have to get a new car! It's a Honda Civic, 1995, DX Sedan. Its got 152k miles on it, almost 153k. I notice that when I feather the engine a bit, it starts to go away, but when Im idling at a red light is when its the loudest. Any help would be great, thanks!

Re: Engine Noise... yay
could just be your valves needing adjustment.

Re: Engine Noise... yay
I hope its nothing big/expensive. I noticed today while dropping my girlfreind off at work that it almost sounds like in the movies, when a car ran outta gas... that little clunk-a-chunk-a-click noise, lol. I can't open the hood to check anything because of a small car accident that bent my hood. But it sounds like belts are really loose, would loose belts make a loud noise?

Re: Engine Noise... yay
Checking your oil level would be a good start. Did the noise start before or after your "little" fender bender ?
