Re: Acrylic enamel paint???

There are many kinds of acrylic, some will look good and some will look shit. I'm assuming you're going with a single stage acrylic, vs. the base/clear?

How can you prove that is an acrylic paint job by just showing him a picture of some random truck without explaining the differences?

Here is an example I found that might help you get an idea of what it could turn out like.

Acrylic doesn't withstand sunlight or contaminents very well.. It only has a lifetime of a couple years. Depending on how well you take car of your car.

Well the factory paint job on my eclipse was complete shit. It started to fade and peel after 6 years of life. I've never seen a cars paint fade that quickly unless they really skimped on the clear coat, it's like a disease on my car it keeps spreading...

So your mileage may vary. I'm sure some people get 10+ years out of an acrylic paint job, a lot depends on how good of a job they do.
