First Post here - Porsche Carrera GT - WIP

Here are a few pictures of my work in process Porsche. I bought the Scale Motorsport CF templates and photoetched pieces for this build. I have most of the CF work done now and will be putting the future clear coat on it soon and then polishing it with "the detailer" model wax.

Comments are always welcome.

Looks good James. I thought it was funny that your first post wasn't about Mopars. Great job on the decals. Looking forward to seeing it come together.

Mike.

Re: First Post here - Porsche Carrera GT - WIP

Thanks for the comments all.

I am still undecided about what color to paint the body. I have some left over black metallic from a SLR build, some Porsche polar silver and some Porsche seal grey metallic. After seeing Ramon Garcia's build at Detroit, the grey is my first choice. But then there is always Rally Rider's...

The Moparbuilder name is because that is what I mostly build. Maybe someday I will post some pix of some of my finished Mopar models.

I agree with everyone else.. the CF and paint is excellent. Grey would look nice!

More Progress on the Porsche Carrera GT 5/13/07

I did a little more work on the Porsche this weekend. The body is painted with Cobra Colors Seal Grey metallic basecoat with a PPG Urathane clear coat. I'll let the pictures do the talking...
