1969 Beetle pimped out
Well, started out as a stock 69 beetle, and I decided to lower it with mazda rx7 fd rims, and attempted my first try at using bare metal foil. Painted in british green metallic with desert yellow interior. Wheels painted in aclad chrome. The only down side to aclad chrome is that you cannot make it look like the chrome you get in the factory box.

Re: 1969 Beetle pimped out
Extremely nice, as a beetle lover I'm very pleased to see a top job like this
Just one constructive advise, drybrush the plates with white and blackwash the horn grill, it will add a lot more realism. Also, the side steps should be chromed or flat black, as your project looks more like a Resto-cal look, it must be chromed. |
