98 passport front end conversion to 2000passport/rodeo possible?
i have a 98 passport and noticed that the slightly updated front end on the 2000+ rodeo/passport is very similar. will a 2000 front end just bolt up to a 98? what parts would i need for the slightly updated look? could i just do headlights and grille?
please help the newb, and out of curiousity would this apply to the amigo as well? |

Re: 98 passport front end conversion to 2000passport/rodeo possible?
The headlights, grill, and bumper are all slightly different so you would have to change all 3 parts (probably cornering lights too but not sure). Everything should bolt right up as long as you do all of the parts. The '00+ also has better looking tail lights so you could change those too, they also fit the same.
I think the fenders are the same so no point in changing them. Only exception is amigo/rodeo sport fenders have more of a flair but they are hard to come by. The headlights are shaped a little different so you either have to modify your grill or use an '00+ grill. The '00+ grill dips down on the bottom where as the '98/99 one goes straight so the bumper would have to be changed to match the dip in the grill.
