how do you remove the wheel?

I know it sounds like a really dumb questionm, but hear me out. I have a 1999 honda prelude and i attempted to remove the front wheels and after i removed the 5 nuts, I thought the wheel would just slide out easily. Nope! it was completely stuck. I applied some WD40s but no help.

So please, if anyone know how i can remove the wheel, let me know!
Should I drive around with out the nuts on to losen it? will it be dangerous?

No, dont drive around with the lugs off, jesus. Thread one of the nuts on maybe 5 or 6 turns, then take a mallet and start whacking away at the back of the wheel (and hit the rim, not the tire). I'm behing completely serious here.

To avoid the problem in the future, clean up the corrosion that has accumulated on the hub face AND the hub face of the wheel, then smear a little bit of black grease on the hub face.

That'll do it. If it doesnt I sometimes sit on the ground and kick the front and rear of the tire with my foot. Make sure the jack stands are good and solid first

a stiff wire brush is what you want for removing the corrosion.

then, like Steel said, black grease will help prevent this problem in the future.

I will have to try again tomorrow. Where ]am i exactly hitting? the inside of the wheel ? if so, does that mean i have to crawl underneath the car and hit if from the inside ? Also, you said to thread a nuts on 5 or 6 turns....what is the point of doing that??

haha this is great, this happened to me and my friend about a month ago on my corsica,we tried everything,WD40,PB Blaster and then finally we got a piece of wood and a basball bat and it eventually came off..

I suppose I'll ask this since no one else has. Is the car on jack stands while you are trying to remove the wheels?

Well, i am assuming the the car is on jackstands when you do this. Yes you hit the inside of the wheel. Use a piece of wood between the mallet and the wheel if you're worried about denting it. The purpose of threading the lugnut on a little is to keep the wheel from flying off when it does finally break loose.

and yes, the car is in park.
unless its fwd, which it probably is, in which case it dosent matter as long as the parking brake is well on.

Yep smacking it with a hammer should do the trick. Before you put the wheels back on lube up the nuts with some grease so they'll come off better next time. Theres an article on this site that may help you out www.cruisegb.com/alloywheelfit.htm

Once you get the wheel off, use some never seize where the wheel meets the hub or axle flange, just a thin wipe is all you need.

I worked in one shop years back when a '65 Catalina came in for tires. There was one wheel that we could not get off. We had it up on the lift and our 300 lb truck tire guy gave the rim a few whacks from the inside with a truck tire sledge hammer. It didn't budge. We sprayed it with penetrating oil, loosened the lugs and took it for a few circuits of the parking lot making hard left and right turns. Still nothing. I never found out what happened, the customer was advised to give the penetrating oil a few days to work then bring it back.
