Engine Dies when Shifting
2002 Durango, 2WD, no prior related problems.
Went to go run some errands today and started the Durango. Started fine, engine revs up fine, no stutter, etc. Shift into any gear except neutral, and the engine dies. When it does, it makes a sighing sound coming from the passenger side, close to the firewall. Can't pinpoint the sound. Fluids levels are good, but oil needs to be changed. Any thoughts or suggestions? |

Re: Engine Dies when Shifting
I found this...
"Binding in the drive or shift cable will cause the shift interrupter switch to kill the engine when shifting in to or out of gear." But have no idea what either looks like or where they're located... Edit: Nevermind, found out that it was a boating website. :P |
