1993 b350 360v8 hesitates when trying to accelerate
93 B350 with 360 v8. Hesitates and sometimes dies when trying to take off from a stop....once going it is ok. you can then floor it and it roars...but it is almost like the idle is a bit too low. The idle is fixed and can't be changed. Is there anything to try? I was told that taking the fuel injection throttle body off the intake manifold and cleaning the intake ports will help since they get dirty with carbon and junk....seems like you should be able to clean that area with some carb cleaner from the top of the carb...this is a FI unit but looks like a carberator.

You might want to test the throttle position sensor.

Where might the throttle sensor be located and how would I test it?

When you look in your repair manual for the testing specs, it should have a picture of it there for you.

I don't have a manual. I guess I'll have to go to the dealer and ask the parts guy to show me a pic
