99 lx ccrm connected to iac??=

a/c stopped blowing cold air instantly so=did the ccrm relay replacement. could easily see it was burnt on the circuit board. used a tie-wrap to seal the box instead of a small nut and bolt. previously auto zone scanned "cel" and said iac valve was malfunctioning. i choose to ignore it. but now since the ccrm job the rough idle is extreme . occasionally car stalls at a stop light. question = is the iac gasket usually still intact when you remove the iac for cleaning? if so i plan to remove iac an spray it with some "wd". if not i will buy a new one. how do you prevent debris from falling down in throttle when scrapping the old gasket ? ( carefully?,right .) thanks. Jim

You might want to pick up the new gasket before removing the valve. On some models, the gasket is like a molded "8" shaped o-ring ... sortof. Not much in this case to get away from you and fall.
