1989 Beretta 2.8L Need HELP!!!!!!!!

i'v got a big problem. The car seems to idel fine but when i press the accelerator it dies. i replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve and spark pluges. befor i replaced that stuff the car would not even idel. the injectors seem like they are working. i dont know what else to do. the ignition does advance. it runs good up to 2000 rpms then goes down hill from there.

Arrow bad coil, wires, or tcc?

Mine done the same thing and it turned out to be a bad coil and two switched spark plug wires. Also try unplugging the tcc switch that is located underneath the air filter box its just a four prong plug that plugs into the tranny this doesnt give out codes and does cause the car to stall out if it goes bad.

Re: 1989 Beretta 2.8L Need HELP!!!!!!!!

I have had quite a few 2.8 berettas/Z24s. Does the engine idle smooth or does it miss? When you rev to 2000rpm does it start to bog, stutter, or die as if you turned off the key? When it starts to die @ 2000 rpm will it stay running if you let off the accelerator? Does the engine backfire through the intake if you attempt to rev? what if you put it in gear while it is idling? 5speed or Auto?
