Does The Puller Arms Have To Be Parrallel To The Bolt? My Wasn't.....my Grabbing Arms Were Running In Towards The Ball Joint. I Am Up For Any Suggestions. I Don't Want To Destroy The Ball Joint, cause That Looks Like One Hell Of A Job !!!! Please Make Suggestions....................thank You |

Re: 90 Accord Ball Joint Help
Sounds like your puller was too big.

Re: 90 Accord Ball Joint Help
I have not done it on Accords but on my Subaru I unscrewed the nut only few turns. This prevented the parts to separate violently.
And like mpumas said it sounds like the puller is too big. I hope this helps. Good luck, Sam

Re: 90 Accord Ball Joint Help
What I did was use a hammer keep tapping on the lower arm and it will pop open eventually. Since there is really nothing holding it from separating. There is also a Honda special tool for ball joint.
