Fuel pump problems

I have a 2000 sunfire, and the fuel pump fuse blew. Replaced fuse, Pump, and relay. Car starts fine, but when I give it gas( Step on peddle) it will still blow the fuse. Any help would be great. Thanks, Jim

Re: Fuel pump problems

My information shows the pump and injectors work off the same fuse. I'm not saying replace the injectors, but, you might do an ohms test on each injector. I don't have the specs in front of me, but all the injectors should read about the same. It is possible, the injector/s might cause a problem, but, it wouldn't show up unless the injector was under load. Maybe you'll get lucky with the ohms test. Of course the injectors might be fine, then you would have to troubleshoot one of the other circuits.
