351 Cleveland

So all I hear from people is that the 351 cleveland sucks amd it's weak and worst of all I hear that people have had oiling issues. My dad owns a 72 Mustang and he drove it 76,000 miles he changed the oil normally and it gave him no problems at all. SO have any of you had problems?

Re: 351 Cleveland

The only reason I'm not a big fan of the clev is just because there is not much aftermarket for them. What aftermarket there is for the 351c is expensive compared to the windsor motors.

That is very true. I'm trying to find parts, that work together, for the car and it's like finding a needle in a hay stack.

Re: 351 Cleveland

I am not big fan, because of the width and weight.

Re: 351 Cleveland

Don't get me wrong, a 351C is a darn good power plant! Who ever says they SUCK, has no idea of what they are talking about! Back in the day, they were KING of the small blocks.

Re: 351 Cleveland

The good thing about the 351c is the stock heads can flow well with little work.
