Re: abs and trac off light

There wont be any power going to the wheel spd sensors. A wheel speed sensor generates its own AC voltage. If you wanted to test them, there are two wires on the connector, use a DVOM set on AC voltage, and touch both wires, then spin the wheel and see if you get a voltage reading. The reading should go higher the faster you spin the wheel. However, the abs and trac off lamp may be on b/c of a wiring issue from the sensor to the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). Best bet, get the code read from a dealer or someone with a Tech 2, and that will tell you which wheel speed sensor circuit is the issue.

Sorry so long, but hope it helps.

Re: abs and trac off light

the easiest way to to check the Ohms, should read around 1000ohm on the sensor.

But it is best to get it scanned with an ABS capable scan tool. Hate to replace one and it wasnt the one
