Good tip for newbies but basically everyone and their momma knows this trick. This is one reason why you dont see companies making aftermarket clear signals for 90-91 civic/crxs....

actually i have seen a lot of companies that make clear bumper lights for our cars. don't understand why, but they do. Think they are a little bit clearer than just popping out the orange clip.

i did that too, but they just didnt look right w/ the clear corners. 12 years has beat the shit out them, so i popped $10.00 for some aftermarket bumper lights & now they actually clear.

ditto, my lenses were cracked and the $10 clears from APC fit nicely, and the freshy lens helps them look a lot better...too bad their clear corners don't fit worth a shit

anything APC is complete junk. for one i dont understand why APC stands for American Products Company & the shit is made in Taiwan. anyway use something to seal the lights besides the shit gasket supplied, i know a few people with APC light assy's on their car and after a few monthe moisture built up inside & ruined them. I have 1 APC piece of shit on my car - breather.

there you go again baggin on APC, I've got a ton of APC stuff on both of my cars and I've had zero problems, my clear corners for the civ fit beautifully and looked great, my shifter worked fine, I've got friends with APC stuff and nobody has had any problems that you describe, guess you should actually use the stuff before you run your mouth about it.

I'm not taking any sides here, cause I'm sure APC does have some good quality stuff. I just haven't ran into it yet either. I have some APC Clear corners and they fit fine, just not sealed good. Their intakes...I can't stand their intakes at all. I had one on mine, and it didn't fit right. Took it back and hopefully they will replace it with an AEM. They(the place I bought it at) also had to send one back for an Accord because it didn't fit right either.

I guess it's where you get your stuff from, I always buy it from a retail store, (Advance Auto Parts and AutoZone) there is an import shop (should be called a rice hut, no real performance stuff) that sells APC stuff along with Matrix, Pilot Motorsports, Eurolite, and some other stuff and they told me that they have the lowest return rate on APC stuff.

I got my Intake from a Performance shop. Thank god they are taking it back though. My hood was about to go through the intake tube, cause the tube was too big, or wasn't bent right...something. Gonna get an AEM CAI, just gotta get some money to make up the difference.

well, one defective product doesn't make the whole company bad, one thing you have to think about is the fact that they make a ton of stuff and are mass-producing it, sometimes one or two items are bound to be defective out of the box. One of my friends picked up a K&N Intake kit for his S-10, six modz later he finally got it to fit but his filter keeps falling off. I was talking with a guy at work that has a 5th gen hatch, he bought an AEM CAI and one of the pipes was cut too short. It's a fact of life.

well, this is seriously O/T and this is the last I'm saying on it.

dude, about your clear bumpers, pick up some up on eBay, there's never a shortage. If you are doing an aftermarket front bumper wait to see if they will fit in it, I'm not wasting my money b/c the invader bumper I'm getting doesn't really have a place for them (I'm modding a set in but they will probably not be civic)
