oil change

i would like to change my oil on a mondial t and don´t trust the garage here im in a small village in spain so not many sports cars here
can anyone help befor i try myself

1. Get the owners manual for the type/quatity of oil you need.
2. TOOLS: oil filter wrench and a wrench for the drain plug.
3. Items: oil/oil filter/ oil filter wrench/drain plug wrench/drip pan

4. Drain oil at oil pan drain plug-with wrench. Note: place drip pan underneath
5. Remove oil filter- with oil filter wrench.
6. Add oil filter- hand tight(2 hands!) Note: with old oil - coat round gasket on oil filter
7. Tighten oil pan drain plug- with wrench
8. Add oil - 85 percent what you think the engine holds.
9. Start engine for 5 seconds, turn off engine - this is to get the oil in the new empty oil filter
10. Check oil - add to level

While those instructions certainly are correct, a Mondial T can be considerably more intimidating than a regular car. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between the rear axle/transmission drain and the engine oil. If you look at www.ferrarichat.com, I know there are good instructions how to do this for the beginner.

i´v looked at ferrarichat but cant seem to find anything
do you have to check the level with the engine running?

I recommend a repair/maintenance manual. Cost between $15 to 60 bucks. They got step by step instructions with pictures. Some good manuals are made by Haynes or Clifton. The engine should not be running when checking the oil.

It's for a 348 but the same engine as the T. Other good info too!!

Oil level is usually checked hot, engine off for just a minute or two.
