Re: 91 3.4 Lumina Splutter Still problem
These cars with the 3.4 DOHC are known for developing a vacuum leak around the intake manifold base, especially after the engine is warmed up. Try spraying WD-40 around the base of the intake (the seam between the intake and heads) while the car is running. If the idle changes, you found your problem.

You already have another thread about this issue. Please don't start multiple threads on the same issue, as it doesn't get your question answered any faster, it just clutters up the forums.

Re: 91 3.4 Lumina Splutter Still problem
well temperatue gag does go up to the past half way mark so that seems always normal
and ill try that wd-40 trick so i do that under the cover plate then i know i re cleaned the ports cuz i had oil in all my spark plug ports little bit in the 3 back but more in the 3 front but i cleaned them and stuff, so ill try the penitrating oil trick and whats the solution for that, and i never repolaced plenium gasket ever cuz i have that lid off so many times for different repairs that i never both im pretty quick at removing it lol |
