2000 Jimmy Brake Light Problem

Brake lights on my 2000 Jimmy (105,000 miles) suddenly stopped working. Bulbs okay, fuse okay, center brake light bar on roof does work. What do I check next?

Re: 2000 Jimmy Brake Light Problem

Do your blinkers and reverse lights also work? I just had this exact same problem. High mileage on a '97 Jimmy. It ended up being my multi-function switch, which is supposedly located near or in the steering column. Anyway, the part is around $350. My brake lights work great now

I have a 2000 Jimmy that had this problem. There is a recal on it. Take it to a dealer and they will fix for free. 3rd light works, brake lights dont. If you paid for it to be fixed then tell them there is a recall and you will be reimbursed.
