MAP sensor

How would I go about checking my MAP sensor?

Im looking for the easy way to check it.

Someone told me if I unplug it the PCM will set it to basic settings.. so if my car runs better then I would think that the MAP sensor is bad and is causing my rich running problem.


1999 Plymouth neon
SOHC 2.0L Automatic Trans
128,500 Miles

Runs bad at idle. Now has pinging.
