Thumbs up '93 Metro 4 Sale

I'm selling complete as a parts car my Black '93 Geo Metro 1.0L 2dr HB AutoTrans 75,000 miles. I'm the original owner. The thing really runs like a top but on 3-16-07 the front right control arm mounting ripped away from the frame. Entire exhaust is New replaced in fall of 06. I replaced both front control arms in early 2004, Tires like new, battery excellent just passed E check in December. I took real good care of it. Obviously it will have to be towed. I live in Garfield Heights, Ohio 44125. $350 OBO [email protected] Email for pictures, or look here:

Re: '93 Metro 4 Sale

What a terrible shame...!

Are you sure you can't get the control arm welded back on by some Body Shop?
Welding shop...?

Not sure exactly what I am talking about, but what a shame such a nice vehicle
has to be totaled....

Sorry to hear it.

I love my '93 3 cyl 2 dr hatchback....47 mpg.

If it were wrecked I would probably cry. It's my baby. I call it The Pheonix

Re: '93 Metro 4 Sale

You know it's funny you say that. I was just telling my wife this morning that usually when it comes time to get rid of a car I'm more then glad to see it go... but not this one. Having to part with this one really breaks my heart. As far as fixing it goes....perhaps some talented young man could do it but I could never take it up to 70MPH again and feel good about it. I can sort of picture what a control arm coming loose at 70MPH would look like and it isn't pretty.

Re: '93 Metro 4 Sale

I bet if you got some welding shop to weld the car back in shape it would be
stronger than it originally was....!

Besides, if you drive any used cars, how do you know what is lurking under the
hood?

In addition, at 70 mph, you'll not even know you are dying.....too fast. (lol)

Seriously - at least have it looked at by an autowelding outfit....

Re: '93 Metro 4 Sale

Actually, I believe these cars are DOA when the control arms rust out. One of the few reasons, I'm glad I don't live in the rust belt anymore.

Sorry for your loss. I wish I would have found a pre95.
