85 cutlass need alternator wiring diagram

i have an 85 cutlass supreme brougham and some one else cut the wiring harness for the alternator so i dont know what wires do what, they have 2 going to the batt one is the thick one and one comes from the little harness ,and the other one going into the car. now i dont know if it is sapposed to have 4 wires coming from the alternator or just the 3 that are hooked up because there is one post on the alternator that has nothing going to it. so if some one can help me that would be cool, but i pretty much need a wiring diagram.
