Charger?

so..coming home, i raced a charger.

it was from a 60 roll. and he got the jump (he had auto, i had to downshift)

i dumped it into 3rd.. and he was pulling on me while i had the clutch down.

hit the gas to the floor in 3, and i just walked away from him like nothing.

2 questions

1) was this a V6 or 8?
2) are V8 chargers that slow?!

it had..a spoiler on the back, but im sure you can option that with a V6..

im pretty sure the charger comes with 3 engines
a V6, the 5.9, and the 6.1hemi..

im wondering which of them they were.. i would figure the v8 5.9 should be able to walk ME, since its bigger displacement, newer engine, etc..

mine has had its better days with over 115 on the clock..

just wondering if anyone knows about the charger..

(im not a charger hater...i actually like mopar.. : i want me a challenger laters)

ok so i did some research..

engines:
2.7->190hp
3.5 -> 250hp
5.7-> 340/350 hp
6.1->425hp

the only one with a 'stock spoiler' is the 5.7L hemi..

im guessing i raced the 3.5L V6 cuz if it was anything bigger im sure he could have walked on me unless he cant drive at ALL.

the 340hp v8 should be able to smoke me, right?

lol..thats funny...because 2 weekends ago me and my buddy dj (yes i also have a friend named dj) and i were comming from our shop, we had just filled our bottles and were on our way to hooters..he has a 97 lt1 camaro thats only got 30k miles on it and it runs like a champ, small mods and dry n2o kit. anyway, we were at the light next to eachother reving and making noise when out of nowhere a hemi charger pulls up on the other side. he starts doing a burn out and rving as well..so me and dj are looking at eachother and i said to the guy, u are gonna mess up those 2 thousand dollar tires u got on there on that sweet family car and the light turns green and hes gone... so being the safe, law obiding man i am, i went after him and so did dj... now hes got a 75 shot and im spraying a 100shot....anyway he walked him pretty easy, and i think he was pissed..im sure even with the hemi it had nothing else done, after paying for the car im sure there was nothing left for mods lol. they are fast though but its still a family car with a hoped up engine ....i think they are pimp my ride cars though..every asshat in tampa thinks hes ballen because he has one its sad...smh. i like smaken em down every chance i get...oh its a hemi, its a hemi...well let me show u the iron duke baby!!!

the srt version is fast but the 5.7 isnt that much at all. Those cars are heavy mofos

They rely on the name "Hemi" to sell cars and intimidate other drivers out there. The first thing that comes to mind when someone says "Hemi" is the old 426 Hemi. That engine was given the moniker "Hemi" because it was one of only 2 engines being made that had hemispherica heads. The new "hem" has nothing in common with the old 426 except the hemispherical heads...which are very outdated by today's standards.

there hp is good but I think the weight of those tanks kills em.....thats if its not an SRT, heck id take one of those.
but the unfortunate thing is there all autos....
300Csrt is the mac!!!! forget the charger....

Yeah i agree...hey it makes it sound fast though...im sure if i put a hemi emblem on the side of my car it add 15 to 20 hp...
