'94 Buick LeSabre, please help.

’94 Buick LeSabre Limited
153,000 miles

The problem started around the end of November of 2006. My engine light would go on and off, and when I started the car and put it into drive, it didn’t seem like it was in the correct gear. The engine would rev and it would travel slowly and after about 25mph it would be fine. This didn’t happen very often. Also, the cruise control would go on and off. The problem got progressively worse. I took it to several different mechanics at the first of 2007 but my car would never act up for them. At about the end of February, it finally acted up and the mechanic ran the codes and told me my alternator was overcharging, and the transmission was losing power, which is whyit would shift in and out of third gear. Also, they said the battery was weak. I got a rebuilt alternator and a battery put in. After starting the car and running it that day, the same problems existed, although not as bad, but also the battery light was coming on. I checked all the connections and they seemed fine. Then, just a few days ago the car would hardly go at all so I turned it off. Then it wouldn’t start and I noticed that the engine was overheating and the engine fans weren’t working. Now it is broken down in my driveway.
