Anyone have any questions for a senior F1 technician?

from Mclarenautomotive -

"DUNCAN HILL - McLAREN F1 SENIOR TECHNICIAN
Our next interview will be with Duncan who has the privilege of working as an senior technician on the McLaren F1. He regularly interacts with the F1 customer, flying all over the world to maintain arguably the greatest super sports car in the world. If you would like to ask Duncan a question about his involvement with the legendary F1 then please send your question to [email protected]. "

Here's an ideal opportunity to ask the question you have always wanted to regarding the service side of the F1 -is there a new updated Modem, as the original one looks like it has the computing capacity of a ZX Spectrum, whats the part you most often have to replace on the F1 etc etc

Thanks for the tip off, a mail has been sent to the good Sir, granted mostly directed at GTR's but am sure some of it will interest all here.
Still keeping everything crossed.

I have lots of questions, but none that they'd allow him to answer.

Re: Anyone have any questions for a senior F1 technician?

The trouble is hes so bound by Owner confidentiality he can't answer the more juicy questions.

Heres a few random (or boring depending on your view) questions that I expect he'll be answering

"How long in the job?"
"Background prior to this job?"
"Whats your everyday car?" (Thats partly because ISTR the Ferrari factory test drivers owning Fiat Uno hatchbacks)
"Do you enjoy the travelling?"
"How long does a service take?"
"How much is a service?"
"Whats the hardest job on the car?"
"Do you have to be qualified to test these cars at very high speeds?"

Questions Id like him to answer are

"Whose the wealthiest owner you've met"
"Which owner is the biggest A-Hole!"
"Ever crashed one"
"Dont you find it boring servicing 1 car only every day for years?"
"Perks to the job?"

This video is now on the website.

Nothing groundbreaking as I sadly suspected

Filmed at McLaren Technology Centre and not the actual service facility at Genesis.
