RX-8 and BMW 328i both > 07' shelby GT

I wouldnt pay that extra 10k for that little boost in power, buy a GT and either supercharge it or turbo it!

Yeah the Shelby really isn't worth it at all, very few are going to disagree with you there. If I was going to go for an upgraded Mustang, I would buy the Saleen. That bodykit on that looks sick as hell.

Re: RX-8 and BMW 328i both > 07' shelby GT

yeah really not a smart buy, 19 more HP for 10,000 dollars more? Yeah like anyone is really going to buy that. But id still take a new mustang over the Rx8 or BMW anyday. They are just sexy cars. I just wouldnt pay 40K for it.

I wish Ford would have been smart about this new mustangs. Why dont they just make a regular Mustang Cobra like the 99-03 with around 400 HP and a supercharger for 40k? Instead they make a 2,000 a year limited 500HP Shelby GT 500 that is so rare and expensive only the snobby rich get it. They took the powerful mustang away from the average joe, which will do nothing but turn people towards other cars.

Stupid Ford, no wonder they are going bankrupt.

Exactly, they take the good cars away from everyone, which is why i dont like ford. The new mustangs are cool, but the v6 is way to weak, (especially in top end, 113mph top speed) the gt is cool, but was outdated the second the first one rolled onto the lot (though it is a good starting platform considering it is inexpensive) and the cobra costs way too much, might aswell just buy a vette or GTO instead (like musashi did) Stupid ford

Re: RX-8 and BMW 328i both > 07' shelby GT

What a pile of garbage. I thought my CS with a sticker price of just over 32,000 was bad, but this is just stupid. At least my cars kitting pans out to be a bargain, plus it's fairly exclusive.

Ive been meaning to ask you, what is the CS? I figure it's a body kit, right?

Also I beleive musashi's GTO was 32k which is not 10k over the mustang GT

Re: RX-8 and BMW 328i both > 07' shelby GT

Front and rear fascias, chrome tips, side scoops, special trunk key cover, door vinyl, 18'' wheels. If you add that up and did it in the aftermarket it would cost much more than the 1,900 that the kit costs. I've also go two tone leather, dual power and heated seats and satillite radio bumping my price up. The 3.55's were also an extra 100, but to me that's a steal.

Re: RX-8 and BMW 328i both > 07' shelby GT

I also have to agree here... Paying 40K for the Shelby mustang isn't something anyone should be investing their money in... However, there is one just like the one on 2nd page of the article Gotian posted, sitting in our local Ford dealer, and I have to say... Boy are those cars sexayyy...

EDIT: BTW, doesn't CS stand for California Special...?

I dunno so much about a GTO costing 10k more then a mustang gt....

around here they are practically the same price, no one wants the GTO, hell the solstice parked next to one last time I went to the dealership was costing more then it, and it was a base model.

Rouge Mustang. Any of you guys seen Jeremy Clarkson's latest DVD. its tittled "The good, the bad and the ugly".
He puts a Shelby GT500 against a Rouge Mustang round the streets of Willow Springs. The Shelby makes 500 hp (supposedly, they dyno tested one on TopGear and noticed Ford overrated the actual hp of only 475) and the Rouge made 450. The Rouge eats the Shelby alive. Complete ownage!
