Red face Need Help Now 1998 Bmw M3

I would like info on this car. It looks to be in perfect condition inside and out (pros). What can I do to protect myself . What has gone wrong and what can go wrong with this make and model? I am paying high end for it. I know there has been problems but can't seem to get answers. What's it likely to cost me as time goes by .

Post more detailed info about the car will be very helpful.
How much are you paying for the car? Who are you buying from? What's the engine mileage, is it mostly highway or city mileage? Info such as that and other will help out the fellow AF'ers answer your question with greater accuracy. Pictures are appriciated too.
And as of right now, I can't really give any advice.

How old are you, and will this be your first vehicle?

A few common problems are; pullies, cooling system, rear trailing arm bushings. Just have a shop you can trust look it over before you buy it.
