crower cams ???

im interested in buying a cam for my d16z6, the stage 2 3/4 street strip cam from crower looks good, but id like to get the opinions of people who actually put one in there car. the head is ported and polished, i have an intake, header, ignition, zex 55 shot, and i dont have it yet, but either hondata or a crome chip. will this give me the 15-20% increase in hp that crower told me, or am i wasting my money. also, would it be a good idea to get a lightened flywheel and crank or not? thanks

Re: crower cams ???

I'd leave the crank alone, no reason to replace it or modify it unless you're looking for a ton of hp. If you ment crank pulley, then don't bother. It may help free up some hp, but it is unbalanced and could cause catastrophic problems down the road. A lightweight flywheel would be good, but don't go too light or your rpms will drop too fast. This would be a problem because the rpms will drop rapidly between shifts and put you out of your powerband. There are a few companies that offer flywheels that weight between 11-12 lbs, these are your best bet (even a slightly heavier than that would be good).
