17x9.5...whats biggest tire?
Whats the biggest tire I can fit on a 17x9.5 inch wheel without any problems?
Currently have 275/40-17 on the Ronals but want bigger......... Im thinking 285, 295 or maybe somewhere in the 300's for the rears and sticking with the 275 on the front...... Ive heard people using 315/35/17 tire on the 17x9.5 without any problems........what ya tink?

285
275 seems to fit the 9.5" wheel the best. Which gives the best contact patch since the tire doesn't have to 'stretch' to fit on the wheel.

yea, id say 285 also. but just out of curiosity, why do you want a slightly larger tire?

i dont think a 285 on the rears and 275 on the fronts is going to give you anything in the looks department. thats just barely larger.
