mileage meter

98 eclipse rs 2.0 DOHC

weird thing happens.... I pulled the whole dash gauge from another car. the redline is now 6,500 instead of 7,000 and it says unleaded preamium fuel only. thats the only difrence. now on an estimated guess i noticed that the mileage flips one for every twenty i drive, so i need an oil change every 150 miles. i dont care since the mileage isnt correct anyways, but why is this. ps i changed the guage to see if the speedometer would work, and it still dosnt. no i need to check by the tranney.

Re: mileage meter

You pulled the gauges off an auto instead of a manual. Manual has a redline of 7k, auto is set at 6.5k.
