What do insurance companies consider a "sports car"?
I've been driving for a year, and my 1990 honda accord is getting to be more hassle than help. Things are starting to stop working. Little things--but thats not the point.
For the longest time I was set on buying an RSX Type-s '02-'05, but when my parents called the insurance company, it was classified as a sports car(type-s...not suprised). BUT why is it a sports car? even the normal RSX is condsidered a sports car? Is it horsepower? Coupe vs. sedan? Engine type? I am not looking to race or anything, i just want a nice looking car that is quick if i want to cruise around every so often. any suggestions for the $15,000 price range? any year. non-sports car (by insurance specs) Thanks everyone- |

Re: What do insurance companies consider a "sports car"?
your best bet is to wait untill your 25 to get a faster car. cause the insurance companys thought that a geo prizm was a sports car when a person at worked asked about it.

I think a VW GTI might fit your bill.
