Hello Everyone,
This is my 1st time positng so please be kind and keep things positive. I`m not a hands on car guy but I love em, and all you guys have my respect! I`m not posting like I know stuff, I know very little, so I`m looking to you guys to show me the light. I`m contemplating what to do when I return to Vancity in 2009, I live in Yokohama now and I wanna take advantage of this market to build a car. I had a 92 Civic Si HB in Vancouver but it got written off 3 days after I bought it! Blow-out! Couldnt find another one in my price range settled on a 90 Integra! good car but it just wasnt the same. Bear in mind that I do not want a RHD in Vancouver! cause I love my Tim Hortons Drive thru! I will drive this car daily for work, and just love having that extra uumph under the hood! My question is simple, if you had to choose one of the 3 choices, which would you choose? I wanna Purchase B18C5 or B18C (and all necessary swap components) here in Japan and get assistance from a friend who owns a garage and has the staff to tweak the motor using pure JDM parts and then drop it into A) 92-95 Civic hatchback, and I`m simply enjoyng my daily commute! with a shot of Damn!! B) Imported from Japan 94 integra with the JDM front end and pay alot to get it switched over to LHD. major hassle but I want LHD! C) 94-2000 integra and then fork out the money to switch the front end to be the JDM, after of course buying all necessary parts for the switch. Lotta work, so Lotta chedda! My problem is that I loved the feeling of the Civic and want it spiced up a bit, but the JDM integra is so sweeeet! I dont like the standard 3G Integra front end in N.America. What would you do? I`m hoping those of you who have driven these hybrids can tell me which feel best! and which had the problems! Peaceful Threading, C |

I liked the solid feel and the handling of the civic hatc, cause I believe its a unibody frame, is that right? I`ve never driven the integ,
anyone know what price range a RHD to LHD conversion would cost on a 92-95 hatch? I`m leaning towards buying the civic for under a $1000 here and then doing the engine swap here, but I still dont know if I can convert to LHD here, The car has to be 15 years old to import into Vancouver, |

Re: Lost in Japan, Civic or Integra?
i say do the motor. bring both the teg and the motor over here.. sell the integra cuz anyone wants a rhd integra, then but a hatch and you should have some money left over

Re: Lost in Japan, Civic or Integra?
hey mate, good to see i`m not the only new guy here. in my opinion i`d go with the 92-95 civic hatch they are awesome little cars even stock i own a 94 sedan with a D16Y1 in it (sohc vtec) and my mum recently sold a hatch same year model etc but not vtec (not sure on engine model tho) i found her little car ran awesome. handled way better than mine of course mines had alot of work since but as standard the difference was amazing
