How do you get a shift cable out?
I have a 99 z24 cavy. I need to get the shift cable out to replace it but i'm stuck. there is no way to get it out. or is there? any help would be great. OH, it is a stock cable. with the eyelets on each end and the cylinders on each end too.

On an automatic, they are held in with retainer clips, then just push the tongs in on either side and they slide out once you disconnect them from the tranny and slide shifter.
