Killed a Camaro

So tonight Im on the highway on the way back to the house with my girlfriend in the car and some fools in a silver 99+ Camaro roll up next to me and drop a gear acting hard. I guess they caught the reflection of my tach or something being that my car is stock looking otherwise. Anway, I noticed that the POS didnt pull for shit when he dropped the gear. So Im thinking WTF. After asking permission to teach these kids a lesson (yes I ask when there is someone else in the car, they control their life not me) I start catching back up slowly. I get side by side and yell "WTF, your car pulls like shit, you sure you want to race?" he tells me to fuck off and drops it. I reach for the good ol skunk2 knob and let it go. Within 3 seconds I have him by a car. Whats the deal? Do they make these things in V6s? I held third til the light came on and let off because I had already had a car length. They exit before catching back up to me. What a waste of gas. I expected to possibly get beat because I had my girl in the car, full tank of gas, toolbox and a new desk chair I just bought but I walked that car badly. I figured from a roll the Camaro would get me. Oh well. Thats what they get for picking on a car with hubcaps and no passenger side mirror.

Camaros...

Base Camaro/RS - V6 200hp
Z28 - V8 310hp
SS - V8 325hp

So if it was a V8 it certainly would pull hard with 5.7 liters.

ZC trans wif lsd yo!
DC header
AEM CAI
Thermal exhaust w/ gutted teg cat
skunk2 shifter and knob
just put in a tach so now I can actually see what im shifting at! Now that I have the damn tach though everyone keeps revving on me like the Camaro dork. I should have mounted it lower. i was thinking about fiberglassing a small one into my airvent but the monster tach I had laying around from my racecar.
this is all in a 89 std hatch.

Thats sweet, anyone else get the new import tuner yet? Just inside the front cover is a quick article from one of the guys. i guess theres an article in last months car craft mag. entitled "import killer" about some v8 chevy that they built to run on pump gas that they brag is just SO fast.Then import tuner rips on them for writing an "US vs.THEM" article and tottally rips on the car on hp per litre, fuel mileage and $ cost to be that fast... The article is pretty funny really....

you mean in the quarter? ive never run the car yet. I got the swap done like 2 months ago. I wouldnt wanna run quarter with it though. 13s prolly wouldnt hook up well at all. I have raced friends cars who have run. I beat my co workers 91 SI w/ B16a. He ran 15.1 at the track. It was his first time. I keep up with my friend Joes 94 hatch. He has B16a2 with some serious bolt ons. He runs a 14.1. When we hit 80mph he has me by a fender. Thats about all I know. I would guess Im mid to high 14s. Im still learning how to launch a FWD. Ive been driving RWD cars for the past 3 years.

Aircooled Bugs. I worked for Hi-po VW shop. Learned how to build motors, trannys, repair rust, anything really. Our company racer went 10.32 with me at the controls. The boss wondered why it went so much faster, I told him that he was about 10,000 cheeseburgers ahead of me in life. I only weigh 125lbs and he weighs like 230.

Damn, i guess i'm about 10,000 cheeseburgers ahead of you in life also! I'm 230 also, and i'm 18

But i'm 6 foot, but i am mostly fat...

i gotta loose some weight....... or i'll never keep up at the tracks!!!!!!!
