97 PA driver's side seat
To All:
I recently found out that the up/down position of my 97 PA's driver side seat does not work. Both the tilt part of the upper seat and the button that moves the seat to and away from the steering wheel work great. When wanting to make the seat move up and down, the motor makes a wining sound, that of which DOES NOT sound like the same sound the passeger's side seat sounds like. I took off the driver's side seat today to see if anything was visibly wrong with the motor. I located the one of three motors the sound was coming from. What possibly could be wrong? Is the motor blown? If it was blown, it wouldn't make a sound right? Are the gears stripped? Can this be replaced? Thanks to everyone in advance! Sincerely, David |

Re: 97 PA driver's side seat
There have been quite a bit of failures of the gearing in the seats for those years.
Hopefully you can find a replacement. Otherwise you will may want to swap parts between seats.
