1991 Regal GS chassis computer or?

I have a1991 Buick Regal GS ,3.8 V-6 Auto trans. The car runs great.But the speedo quit.Not only the speedo but all the gauges quit. It is a DIGITAL dash.Sometimes the rpm gauge works.And you can only see parts of the gauges.like 10,25,55,60 on the speedo.Faintly lit.Same with oil,gas,battery,and temp.I was first told it was the speed sensor.New one and still the same.I even pulled up the code (24)for the speed sensor.
I was also told it could be the ECM,replaced and still the same.Now I'm being told it could be the Cluster or the Chassis Control Module? If so,where is the Chassis Control Module located? I do know where the ECM is.
Any Help would be appreciated.

Wonder if there may be a problem with the dimmer before diving into the BCM.

Okay, just throwin git out there since you said what you could see was fainltly lit.

Funny thing is for a '91 I don't remember them using a BCM/chassis module yet, atleast not a very elaborate one.

True. I don't know for sure.I was just wondering if it had one. The price of a new display is high.But, this car is great on fuel and rides like a new one.It's had it's problems.I think I've put about 300.00 in repairs since i had it for the last 6 years.

you know, I''m gonna poke around on this. I can say taht the digital dahes they put in other GM cars of the era, Camaro my most experience, the symptoms you describe meant the cluster was toast, although some claim to have had success in repairing them.
