99 740i alarm goes off intermittently

My 99 740 is a great car to drive. Needs a little mor power, and maintenance is costly, but damn fun to drive.
My alarm goes off intermittently. I park the car and lock it. sometimes just after the 60 second timer finsihes the alarm starts, sometime it starts after 3 - 4 hours! Soemtimes the car can sit for days without any alarm malfunction. The interior motion sensor works, the alarm seems to work fine except for the totally annoying blast when least wanted.

Is there a sensitivity setting on the E38's? If so, maybe it's too sensitive...

Another thing you might want to try is a magic reset...this has been mostly applied to E32's but I've heard it ccan work wonders for the E38's as well...and kill any annonymous gremlins that find their way in to our beloved 7's...

Follow here for the "magic reset"
