Help! I have a 2000 Regal LS and have gone thru multiple dead battery mornings! My brake lights go on in the middle of a cold night and the only way to make them go off is to pull up on brake pedal. Have mechanic stumped! any help greatly appreciated!!!

Re: My buick 200 regal brake lights stay on when car is off and cold!
Welcome to AF.
I don't know why the mechanic is stumped. There is a brake switch that ties into the brake pedal. It is either flaky or out of adjustment.

The lights will come on by them selves late at night when it is cold. Does this mean the same thing should be checked?
