97 air bag light

V6 Vortec. Air bag light comes on and goes off sporadically. When truck is first started up, light comes on with the rest of the dash light but might or might not stay on. It will come on while driving and go off at no pre determine time. The light will not send a code. It justs pops on and off at any given time. No work was done to anything involving the air bag system.

First thing would be to have it checked for codes.
But it will take a professional scanner to read sir codes.
The repair on SIR systems is better left to a professional trained in sir repair.
Air bags can save your life or take it in a split second.
If the light is on your air bag will not work in case of a accident.
And in rare cases can go off when not wanted.
