WIP: Spoon Civic hatchback -street version
here's another project that I'm working on right now. progress is slow but I'm happy with it
![]() model is made by hasegawa and I molded the spoon carbon rear wing and carbon chin spoiler (will be covering those in SMS carbon decal later) body has been painted in automotive laquer as well, I have 2 coats on there. will color sand and spray another coat of yellow before the clear coat. here's a shot of the rear wing and chin spoiler in primer: ![]() painted in yellow: ![]() close up of the scatchbuilt spoon chin spoiler (not the best but it should look fine in carbon fiber) ![]() fujimi spoon sw388 wheels converted to female and trimmed down to fit the hasegawa skinny tires. suspension has been dropped as well and I got the stance that I wanted ![]() ![]() thats about it for now. let me know what you guys think thanks! |

Re: WIP: Spoon Civic hatchback -street version
Looks good, becareful handling the civic as the two a pillars are very fragile and break very easily. Happened to two of my builds. Nice progress BTW.

Re: WIP: Spoon Civic hatchback -street version
thanks for the nice words guys! if you look at the A-pillars on this one, I snapped both as well before I put in a plastic support piece as suggested by mean_b16
![]() accord2k2, sorry wasn't able to take in progress pics of the duckbill and chin spoiler. I just put in an extra plastic piece to extend the duckbill outwards and up and then putty away. |

Re: WIP: Spoon Civic hatchback -street version
I am also building the duckbill spoiler (on a fit) the same way as you and the putty/sanding process while keeping both sides the same is driving me nuts! Anyways keep up the work!
