4g63 N/A Dreams, can it be done.

I built power from 4g63t's on my Gst and on a Gsx awd that i used to own, But im wondering can i really build a 14-13sec 4g63N/t. Well last year i built a 4g63 N/t 2.3L stroker and that is currently what i have in my 92 Gs, Rite now just with my mods (2.3L stroker kit,Weapon R intake,k&N filter, 5speed turbo intake cam, DC headers that my friend had on his car before it got hit, and i have full tanabe 2 1/2 exhaust stainless. As of rite now i ran my car against a 98 civic Si with a b16a2 with a intake, cam gears and v-tec controler and i won by 2 cars and i was only shifting at 6k. I can keep up with my Uncles slightly modded Gst with no issues he only leads by 1/2 car most of the race. But now i want to really built a nasty 4g63 N/t but what do you guys think, Is a 230-260HP N/A 4g63 realistic? Im getting back $6,800 once my tax'es come back, Im really serious about this, so whatever knowledge you can give throw it my way so i can try and make this happin.

Anything can be done with the right amount of money, and if you're planning on dumping that $6800 into the car, you'll be well on your way towards your goal. And what's this 5-speed turbo intake cam that you have listed for a mod? I bet a nice set of Cranes or Crower cams would do much better.

why did you mod your gsx and gst and then get rid of them to get a non turbo? That doesnt make much sense to me

Re: 4g63 N/A Dreams, can it be done.

no i have 1 1992 gs 2 -1991 gst's and 1992 gsx,my uncle runs a car auction so i got them for a good price. And i love turbo'd 4g63's but im trying to do something different then most people would, building a fast turbo 4 cylinder was fun for me before but now im getting older and im trying to do something a little more different. I look at honda's and other import cars building nice amounts of horsepower n/a, but no one really tends to do that with the n/a 4g63.

Re: 4g63 N/A Dreams, can it be done.

240 whp out of a NT 2.0 anything is going to be hard and honestly, I dont know that $7000 will get there. Making NT power just plain isnt easy. Hondas are built NT most often mainly because they cannot handle higher HP turbo applications. Open deck aluminum blocks just arent a good combo for the added stress and heat of a turbo. 4g63's on the other hand, are iron block with a closed deck and thus can take far more shit and most (if not all) Honda blocks.

You can do want you want (and you absolutely should, regardless of what others say), but my $.02 is to buy another AWD and build that shit. $7000 would probably get a you a car that can can support over 600 hp and whats that, like mid 10's in the 1/4? I guess if you want to make a 14 sec NT thats your call.
